We had a conference call scheduled with our birth-mother for 5:00pm. Jim rushed home early and we arranged friends to take Chris to baseball practice.

At 5:20 we received word from our agency that "R" never showed, that her social worker was trying to reach her and could not. Our agency officially closed at 7:30 so I believe we are done for the night...

So... we have no idea. It could be any number of things from cold feet, irresponsibility, an emergency, labor...? We don't know.

So we do what we do best... be patient and wait.
